5 Underrated Action PC Game series you might have missed

This week we are looking at 5 game series which most of you probably haven't heard or played. This list comprises of great games that still hold their value in the modern 2019 gaming landscape. However, because they are older you can pick them up on the cheap online.

1. Star Wars the Force Unleashed I and II

Both titles pack a powerful punch, as you get to experience the full power of a Jedi. The story takes place before the rebel alliance and you start as a pupil of Vader on the Sith side.

As you progress through the first game you learn new moves, combos and force powers with which you devastate your enemies.

The games themselves feature lots of environments, puzzles, and variety so it never becomes boring, instead, it's quite addictive as you get hooked on this feeling of power and curiosity. what will happen next? One thing about the games is that they have quick-time events. However I don't find them negative or annoying as you learn them easily and they don't detract from the main action, instead making you feel even more immersed in the action of the games. As a star wars fan myself I absolutely love these games.

2.Mirror's Edge and Mirror's Edge Catalyst

An Underrated masterpiece, The Mirror's edge universe creates a dystopian world in which runners are trying to undermine the corrupt government and spread the truth. The games feature daring stunts such as jumping from buildings, running from walls and fighting police officers head-on without being armed. Another thing that stands out from this series is the art style which is very modern clean and orderly, as to hide what is really going on.

The action will have you running for your life, trying to discover the conspiracy behind everything. It's a great world to explore and finding story bits such as tapes and runner trinkets reveals even deeper secrets.

3. Castlevania Lords of Shadow I and II

Follow this dark grim tale, through the destiny of man who becomes Dracula. Castlevania being a classic series in which players are vampire slayers and fight Dracula, decided to take a closer look into the story of the villain and give us a twist into his life purpose.

You start the first game as Gabriel Belmont a renowned vampire slayer and hero. As the human world is under attack by dark forces you try to understand how to stop them and embark on an epic adventure. The world is enormous featuring many environments, seasons and epic boss battles. The gameplay is similar to god of war in the way the whip works to slay your enemies and you can upgrade it. Of course, there are many more secondary weapons to equip as well as usable items. Definitely two underrated gems, which anyone who is a fan of action games should play in my opinion.

4.Dark siders(three titles)

In a world in which the apocalypse has been unleashed upon the world, The four horsemen of the apocalypse are trying to rescue the world and appease the gods, so that humanity may be brought back from its ashes.

Allying with demons and fighting them, duking it out against holy beings such as angels, spirits and a host of other baddies, you explore an enormous mystical world, trying to save the world. Each installment of the game focuses on a different horseman, each with his own powers, traits, and part of the storyline. Each game features a huge arsenal of weapons, which you can upgrade and trade by gathering souls and trading with a merchant demon.

These games are a must-have for fantasy game lovers.

5.Crysis Series

A long-forgotten franchise which began with a triple-A title, Crysis is an Fps set in a dystopian Earth. You start this game off with a nanosuit, one of the most powerful man-made war machines. As you are drafted into the Korean war, you discover aliens and the story only gets whackier from there. The graphics of the game still hold up to this day as the Cry engine was praised for its graphical capabilities at the time when the game came out. The second and third title follow the alien storyline and give you a glimpse into what it means to be a true soldier. A great fps shooter no doubt about it!
